Priority Home Delivery with Coles and Woolworths For Seniors

Updated: May 13

Coles, Woolworths

Are you aware that Woolworths and Coles, the leading supermarket chains in Australia, provide specialised home delivery services tailored for seniors and vulnerable citizens?

These services, introduced during the Covid-19 lockdowns, are still available to help ensure that those at higher risk can conveniently obtain groceries and other essentials from home.

Those eligible for these priority services include seniors, individuals with disabilities, those diagnosed with COVID-19, or others needing to isolate from the general population.

To access these services from either Coles or Woolworths, you need to set up an online account. If you're unfamiliar with the process, here are some guidelines for each chain, or you might ask a friend or relative to assist in creating an account for you.

Coles Home Delivery for Seniors and Vulnerable Australians

Coles offers what it calls Online Priority Services (COPS) to a range of groups, including:

  • Seniors over 70 who are existing Coles Online and Flybuys customers,

  • Those over 65 registered with My Aged Care,

  • Indigenous Australians over 50 registered with My Aged Care,

  • NDIS participants, and

  • Entities that serve vulnerable groups.

Setting up a Priority Account at Coles

  1. Log in to an existing account or create a new one.

  2. After logging in, you can apply for priority services using the "Apply Now" button, where you'll need your My Aged Care or NDIS code.

  3. Shop for groceries on Coles Online, selecting your desired items and delivery time. Coles also offers a Click & Collect option.

Woolworths Home Delivery for Seniors and Vulnerable Australians

Woolworths extends its Priority Home Delivery Service to those who need it most, such as seniors and individuals with compromised immune systems or disabilities.

Getting Started with Woolworths

  1. Create a new Woolworths online account or sign in.

  2. Request Priority Assistance online, providing necessary proofs like a My Aged Care registration number or an NDIS number.

  3. Woolworths will inform you within 24 hours about your Priority Assistance status.

  4. Once approved, you can shop online and choose from the available delivery options, which are now contactless to enhance safety.

This streamlined access to essential goods ensures that those who are most vulnerable can remain safe and well-supplied without needing to leave their homes.
